Abimbola Daramola

Abimbola has a Bachelor’s of Science degree (1st Class) from University of Lagos (2007). She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and certified Health and Safety Professional (NEBOSH). She is an experienced value driven Business Leader; 10+ years post graduate experience with proven record of developing and championing initiatives within cross-functional teams. She has a strong and verifiable record of success of influence management and team leadership within highly matrixed organizations managing business change and transformation initiatives.

Abimbola has partnered with Executive Leadership in several international organizations to develop functional and enterprise business strategies. Amongst her achievement, whilst working with Seven Energy as Commercial Lead/ Senior Technical Assistant to the MD between 2013 to 2016 was the leadership and execution of an innovative commercial strategy which streamlined and optimized business processes leading to reduction of man-hours with resultant efficiency gains of over 15%.

Abimbola also led the Cost Control Initiative of the Commercial Division of Seven Energy enabling the firm to perform, grow and lead while keeping costs contained underpinned by effective business management, through planning and crisp business operations which are essential capabilities for Seven Energy to develop and succeed. This strategic initiative lead to a cost avoidance of about $55M.

Abimbola has led and directed teams that partnered with SMEs across multiple domains to develop comprehensive and strategic business cases for innovative programs and projects (including Oil & Gas Green field project) with Cost/Benefit/ROI dimensions of proposed projects that are used at executive levels for funding and scope.

Abimbola was a Senior Business Analyst/Country Coordinator at Birmingham City University (BCU) between 2008 and 2012. She led the analytics of complex information and assessment of new business operating models and new capabilities. She was constantly engaged with emerging market trends and developed products to address business needs.

She also led the human capital development program at BCU where she helped develop long-term resource and employee development strategies to ensure FTE's and contingent workers are equipped and available to support the execution of the critical responsibilities of the organization.

Abimbola is at present the Head of Corporate Affairs in Jubilee-Life Mortgage Bank.
